BRAD & MISTY BERNALL'S PUBLIC SPEAKING

BACKGROUND

Since our daughter, Cassie, was killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999, our lives have dramatically changed. Our personal loss is unfathomable, but the way God has used our tragedy has been awesome. We have been given many opportunities to share our family's story with various audiences over the years. Our attendees have ranged from youth to parents to grandparents. The number of people we have addressed has varied from less than a hundred to over twenty-five thousand. Public speaking has given us hope and purpose while ministering to the hearts of others.

OUR PUBLIC SPEAKING GOALS

We will come to your church or event, and present Cassie's and our testimony. In doing this, we hope to achieve several goals:

• First, to illuminate the reality and power of God as evidenced by Cassie's miraculous change from a deeply troubled teen into a young Christian woman truly seeking to know the Lord.
• Also, we wish to instill a sense of hope in our youth so they fully realize that, with help from our Lord, they can resist negative peer pressure and be a funtioning member of their family and community.
• For parents, we will share the tough love approach we administered in a way that will enlighten the youth as well.
• We share how God has worked in our lives since the Columbine tragedy.
• Finally, we aim to inform our audience of the spiritual battle that is currently raging and give hope for redemption through salvation. We end by leaving the door open for the event leader or pastor to describe the plan of salvation and invite those in the audience to accept Christ into their lives.
